Beach verbena Native to our eastern coastline, the beach verbena likes a rich, yet dry soil. Grow it over mulch or gravel, rocks or any dry surface. Flooding, too much rain or even being too dry will kill this plant. Good for a year or two and best to be kept separate from taller plants like dune sunflower which will crowd it. Try in combination with sunshine mimosa, Dune Sunflower, Salvia, Monarda, Seaside goldenrod, Coontie, Blue Curles spiderwort, or any other coastal plant. |
